Trevor Johnson, a nine-year veteran of the Prince William County Government, is moving into a new role as Deputy Director of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development and Tourism. Reporting directly to Executive Director Christina Winn, Johnson will be responsible for developing strategic plans to grow and attract capital investment and targeted sector jobs across the county.
"We had a competitive and lengthy interview process for the position, and we are thrilled that the cross-agency selection panel recognized Trevor’s knowledge, skills, and leadership,” said Winn. "Over the last three years in our department, he has been committed to elevating our county, our community, and our team – attracting leads and ensuring Prince William County keeps growing."
Initially hired during the COVID-19 pandemic as the department’s Marketing and Communications Director, Johnson’s led an award-winning marketing team, including developing marketing campaigns, hosting sold-out events, and earning the department’s first Emmy nomination.
His previous service includes positions in the Executive Communications office and Parks and Recreation department, led to established collaboration and coordination across other county departments as well as outside stakeholders and partners.
