Planting New Roots in Manassas: Sprouts Farmers Market Opens May 12

Sprouts Farmers Market will join the Manassas neighborhood with a grand opening event on Friday, May 12, at 7 a.m., featuring free reusable goodie bags filled with special products and samples for the first 200 shoppers.

The 26,300 square foot premium grocery store, located at 8431 Sudley Road, will showcase the company’s signature organic produce, local favorites, and a focus on healthy, sustainably sourced brands.

In addition to more than 90 jobs, Sprouts has invested more than $2.8 million in the upfit of the space to ensure a welcoming and convenient shopping experience. Despite supply chain challenges and potential inflation-related risks, Sprouts is opening on schedule, thanks in part to the streamlined resources available through the PWCDED Targeted Industry program. 

"Our economic data shows Prince William County residents deserve more choice in grocery brands and higher-end options in healthy produce," says Ann Wheeler, Chair, Prince William Board of County Supervisors. “That’s why our economic development team worked to ensure Sprouts Farmers Market had the support to meet the needs of this community.”

Sprouts offers a unique grocery experience with an open layout and fresh produce at the heart of the store. The health-focused grocer continues to introduce the latest wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free.

From Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14 a variety of activities will celebrate the grand opening. A "pop-up party" out front will give guests the chance to taste seasonal produce, engage in kids’ games, have their face painted, experience carving artisans, and more. Inside the store, shoppers will be treated to samples from innovative brands at the Vendor Village.
