Solving Complex Technology Challenges in Prince William County: Meet Jeff Green

Written by Prince William County | Feb 1, 2023

Northern Virginia is a crossroads for technology companies, corporate players, and the federal government. Global entities come together here and work on a variety of projects from cybersecurity to making the modern internet work. In Prince William County, the information and communication technology sector (ICT) is a dynamic and fast-growing part of our local economy.

Prince William County Department of Economic Development (PWCDED) Business Development Manager Jeff Green is a proud graduate of Ohio University and a seasoned economic developer who manages clients in ICT – including the data center industry.

Jeff works with companies of all sizes, from large corporations to entrepreneurial startups; and with a history in the energy industry, he can understand this complex market from all sides.

“What we do is a consultative-based business,” says Green. “Our work is customized by project and by client. In economic development we sit at the intersection of the private sector and the public sector. We’re here to help those in the private sector do businesses in our county as effectively and efficiently as possible. That can be anything from helping a client fast track their permitting through our Targeted Industry program to better support getting to market faster or simply helping a client expand to their next space.”

The PWCDED Business Development team focuses on attracting new businesses and new talent to Prince William County that will benefit the current businesses, workforce, and residents. These targeted industries include companies in the following categories:

  • corporate facilities
  • government contractors,
  • information communication technology,
  • life sciences and biotechnologies,
  • redevelopment and revitalization,
  • innovative retail, and
  • specialized logistics and supply chain.
