When businesses think of economic development, they often miss the importance of our role in building and sustaining the talent pipeline. The PWCDED team attracts new businesses looking for a highly educated workforce and assists current businesses to retain talent and grow right here in Prince William County.
We have harnessed our local community's potential by investing in the award-winning ELEVATE program to provide training and upskilling for current employees as well as career fairs and networking opportunities for your future employees.
On the regional level, we work closely with education partners George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College to ensure we are sharing trends and issues for the workforce of tomorrow.
We also collaborate with Work in Northern Virginia, which is a one-stop resource for recruiting talent and informing jobseekers looking to locate in the region.
And finally, our state ranks among the top for strong talent leadership and investment. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP)’s Talent Accelerator is a nationally recognized workforce training and recruiting incentive recently profiled in Virginia Business magazine. Our team has trained at the accelerator with VEDP staff to learn how best to support growing workforce demands.
Our toolbox for talent attraction and retention will evolve and improve as you and your business engage with our team.
